Our Mission and Values
Neurodiversity-affirming Lens
Neurodiverse traits vary from person to person and being affirming of neurodiversity is an ever-changing/growing venture. A key piece of ABA is social validity and our measures of social validity are examined with a lens that is affirming of neurodivergent traits. We focus on providing compassionate care, unique to the needs of the person being supported..
Quality over Quantity
We prioritize the quality of time spent in session over the number of hours spent in session. Staff training, oversight, and professional development are at the forefront of our service model.
Person-Centered Care
The person receiving services will always be our first priority. We will seek to learn what is important for that person and build on those skills. We try to take a strengths-based approach to our service delivery.
Family Involvement and Caregiver Collaboration
While the person receiving services is our first priority, we hold the expectation that the family will be involved and included in the development of the plan and implementation of services. Frequently, the term “parent training” is used, however we don’t feel this phrase aligns with our position or our values. Our goal is to work with families and caregivers to find strategies and tools that work for their family unit to promote long-term success.
